Little Girl Who Is Me
"I am still the little girl who grew up on a fifteen
acre farm in Pine City, N.Y. and in the little town of Horseheads,
N.Y. This little girl who is "me" went out into
the world and had adventures that have affected me and helped
shape me and reshape me over time in a way similar to a
potter working with clay." "This little girl who
is "me" sat in a corner of my soul waiting patiently
for me to help her come out into the world. I started to
listen to her, to be true to her, to invest my energy in
supporting her. The sparkle, the excitement, the wonder
came back into those eyes again. She learned she could count
on me to give her her chance at life. Little Kristin Mary
Hansen is doing very well, thank you. I carry her lovingly
in my heart and I listen to her wise counsel."
A Successful Human Being
"We are all here on this earth plane together, so it
behooves all of us to navigate through this life experience
doing the least amount of harm to ourselves and our fellow
travelers. We have to learn how this human world operates
and how to provide for our physical needs while we're here.
When we realize we each have within us the potential to
come from a higher more inclusive, more compassionate place
in our thinking, then we can do this with as much grace
and kindness as we can muster up."
Accepting The Ebb And Flow
"We learn more about ourselves in the crisis times,
the struggle times than when everything is going along smoothly.
The tough times give us a chance to check in and see if
something needs to be reevaluated, retooled, discarded so
there can be space for something new. Something new that
will challenge us, get us to stretch and grow, maybe fall
and skin our knees in the process."
I Once Was Blind
"Part of the commitment I have made is to invest my
life energy remembering that I am each of my brothers and
sisters, the "judgers" and the "judged".
I see very clearly that WE ARE ONE. That is the simple message
I must live and I must teach over and over. I must keep
myself clear and focused so I can pass this on to others
through my counseling, my writing, and most importantly
by the example I set in the way I live my own life. I see
every human encounter as an opportunity to remember our
Loving Oneness. If we continue to cling to a belief in our
separateness and focus on superficial differences, then
the peace on our planet we keep saying we want will continue
to elude us."
Mothering Not Meddling
"Fortunate are the young adults whose parents have
been open to learning new ideas, new ways and are willing
to dialogue with them. My five daughters and I talk a lot
about all the new ideas that I have become aware of and
continue to become aware of because I am a seeker...an avid
reader...a starry-eyed student."
