While many of our friends go south for the winter,
John and I cherish our life here on Chickadee Hill. We love
looking out at the beauty of the snow on the trees and also
adding a special touch to all the wreaths and garlands that
beautify our fences and home. Even our feeding stations get
decorated with greens and ribbons so our feathered friends can
share the joy of the season with us. The decorations warm our
hearts all through December, January and February to gently
get us through the cold, sometimes gloomy days until spring.
You can see that even my many Teddy bears join in the festivities
with red bows as they greet visitors in the entry way. We think
that our twin sister calico cats, Zoe Noelle and Chloe Noelle,
whom we adopted from an animal shelter, are fortunate indeed
to share this world with us.Whether we are sitting reading a
book as we enjoy a cozy fire or eating supper next to the fireplace
in our family room, each day is filled with gratitude for us
as we share this life and home we created together. It started
with a dream....and with a lot of faith and hard work we made
it our reality in the midst of this troubled, stress filled
world. Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
